these are just a few of the random blessings that i wrote down in my journal this week and last week:
receiving a not completely red-ink splattered version of my prologue (edited by the love) in my e-mail inbox
le famous orange twist doughnuts from davis doughnut shoppe (which a friend brought to work)
reading coming of age stories that keep me awake and wide-eyed until the wee hours of the morning
singing les miz songs in the car at the top of my lungs, with the windows down and breeze in my hair
watching fireflies dancing freely in moonlit fields on the drive back home from work
watching movies like:
the secret world of arrietty,
love never dies, the princess & the goblin
bible study on the word "delight" (psalm 37:3-5)
went on a movie date with my momma to go see
snow white & the huntsman (which included yummy popcorn and was an excellent movie after all)
finding out about my personality type as a writer // infj :
eloquent vision
welcome home kisses from my love (i'm so glad he's back home!)
sleeping in really late (some days) just because
grasping after peace, and finding glimmers of hope
what are some things you've been blessed with this week?
I won a eShakti giveaway on a blog this week, too! So excited about getting the pretty dress I picked out. :)

Oh, how neat! Which dress/skirt/top did you decide on? It took me forever to figure out which dress I wanted, but in the end I chose to go with "The Birds Who Gossip" dress. Here's the link if you wanna take a gander at it: http://www.eshakti.com/Product/CL0022599/The-birds-who-gossip-dress
DeleteThat's a pretty one! Coincidentally, I actually almost chose the shirtdress they had in that fabric in black and white. :)
DeleteIt took me forever to decide too, but I finally went with the Lady in Red dress (http://www.eshakti.com/Product/CL0022688/Lady-in-red-dress). I love the neckline and I thought it would be more flattering with my body type than some of the other really pleated or gathered dresses I liked on there. :) Also, I love the fact that it has a lot of smocking- that makes nonstretchy cotton a lot more comfortable!

I love Les Mis so much!!!! I've been blessed with a rent free place to stay while I look for my own apartment. The post-college transition has been a little difficult and I'm so grateful for my pastor and his family who have opened their home to me :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely week! =) I enjoyed nice long letters from friends, Starbucks, and, best of all, a long book. Aka Les Miserables. =)
ReplyDeleteLoved your list and the images, as always, are striking!
ReplyDeleteI'm finding many things to be thankful for this week, including . . . my dear husband, my newest pet (adorable dwarf hamster! Yes, he's THAT cute! LOL), great books to read, insight and understanding, love and respect, compassion and empathy, rain and sleeping in. :-) Have a blessed day! - Rachel
