I guess I just didn't like the ideas of sticking to old traditions. I've always been very headstrong...and I like to do things my own way. Of course I felt that way about getting married and what my wedding day would be like before I actually fell in love for real for the first time. My opinions and thoughts on my wedding day have changed somewhat now.....like letting the first man who I ever loved with my whole heart (my daddy) being the one to give me away one day to the next man in my life to hold my whole heart (my future husband....hopefully it'll be Jared Fisher!)She Will Move Mountainshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16080281310264864266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509840396766977649.post-82948440148634084122010-04-09T18:53:03.231-04:002010-04-09T18:53:03.231-04:00Hmm.. Now that you have posted that to your readers.. why would you not want your dad to 'give you away' to your future husband?

Your dad, Mark, is an excellent example of a Godly man, a family man and a committed friend. Happy Birthday to him from us here in Fay'ville!Trails of Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14063324287221615115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509840396766977649.post-21557903692929844072010-04-09T18:24:09.145-04:002010-04-09T18:24:09.145-04:00Maybe I should explain about the whole 'my dad...Maybe I should explain about the whole 'my dad's not gonna walk me down the aisle thing.' I used to think, until recently, that I would walk down the aisle solo. Well, my opinion has changed greatly on whether or not my daddy should in fact walk me down the aisle to give me away. I was watching 'Fiddler On The Roof' the other night...and to see the father (Reptavian) cry when his daughter left to marry, one off by herself, and one ran away to be married I thought "How could they deny their own father that very special gift of giving them away to the 'new man' in their life!?" Funny how life and opinions of things change daily during our 'life walk' huh? So that is the reasoning behind this comment....to sort out what this means for me and my daddy. She Will Move Mountainshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16080281310264864266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509840396766977649.post-11262070647758254482010-04-09T17:12:11.051-04:002010-04-09T17:12:11.051-04:00Awww, that was so nice what you wrote about your d...Awww, that was so nice what you wrote about your dad!
